As I sit here on my bed, with Celtic music going that would melt the heart of everyone, set their feet to dancing, and face to shinning with happiness, I am meditating on all of Gods goodness to me and my life. In every way he has blessed me with so much! It makes me happy- I simply love thinking of his every blessing.
It's been too long since I have set down to write, or do anything with CELTIC in the background. Way too long. I now realize how much I have missed it. Lately I haven't been on my daily route...so full of fun, laughter, and dancing! Instead I've been busy, busy, busy... With everything dragging me down. So much on my mind. So much to do. I almost forgot what it was like to relax. Now that I have the chance...*yawn*... I almost want to fall asleep. :P But best of all, I simply want to sit here and write. To relax. To smile. And to enjoy the opportunity to enjoy some happy music! (I reeeealllyy need to add the Celtic to my iPod... I need to really bad. I'm tired of just the couple of CDs I have to listen to everyday. *puffs*)
But that's proof I've been a busy person.
So, as y'all realized of my title, today is Friday Fun! Sure, I have named Tuesday as my "fun-filled" day, but Fridays have always been my favorite day lf the week. Why you may ask? Well I'll just tell you... ;)
It all started when I was little. Every Friday night we would get together with our best friends(The Laws) for pizza or whatever good food there was around the house. It was a blast! Back then, we would play all night long. Cowboys, Indians. A game of clue. Army men. (The older kids were boys, and it's easier for s girl to at guy things than it is to see a guy sitting on the floor playing dolls. *laughs* Sides, I prefer the active games myself.) Anyway, you get the gist though; every Friday night was the same... FUN!!
Since then we have moved, but never do run out of the tradition of getting together with friends to have som fun on Friday night. Sure, we cant get together with the same people anymore,(Indiana is a bit far)but everyone we come in contact with has been most fun; and I've loved every minute of it!
Tonight we are having some friends(The Holleys and Maddoxs) over for such fun! There will be food, laughter, everyone talking at once, games, movies, and much more! *happy sigh* It's almost like having company come to visit! (Which EVERYONE knows I love!) =D
So Tonight is going to be fun like usual! And no matter how much I see the same people, I could never tire of it, or them. ;) But the point is, all of this is proof of Gods love and care for our lives. He blesses us with the many happy things in life so that we can enjoy them! So we can be happy. So we can love and be merry.
But though he grants us the fun of these days doesn't mean we are to take advantage of them. Instead, we are to give GOD the glory, and thank him for all the blessings he has bestowed. We should never tire of giving him thanks... Thanks for his love. And our wonderful pleasures in life!
