Well it's another day in our Lord- a day to be happy and rejoice. Another day to praise his wondrous name! While doing my daily devotional studies this beautiful morning I came across this verse: "Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God." ~Psalm 43:4
Right now as I type I am thinking of how happy and blessed I really am. It's not bright, sunny, or cheerful looking outside, and I feel as if I am finally coming down with the sickness that has been going around- but despite that I feel exceedingly happy! True happines doesn't lie in the things around us; but in Jesus Christ- he is our true joy! Though many things in life can make us happy, if we didn't have God nothing would be worth while. We are like a flower. Fully bloomed, cheerful all around, full of health, beauty that all shows on the outside. And if we have God in our heart- then we are just the same in the inside.
But what happens once you pluck a flower? Soon enough it starts to die, right? And if it is given no water, it dies even faster. Well my dear friends, that describes you and me in our everyday life. If we take Jesus out of our life, soon we to would die. We wouldn't last long without him. But with Christ we have hope for the future. We are beautiful and full of health. And we shall live for an eternity to come.
What an amazing God we serve! And how wondrous are his works! He died on the cross so that we may have life. He gave himself for us so that we might bloom in the beauty of him. So let us all not waste our days wishing for more than we already have. For there is nothing more wonderful than the Lord our God! So instead, let's rejoice and sing praise to his holy name- that Miraculous name that gives us true joy! Let us bloom in his love, and always stay grounded into his name, never to be removed or plucked...
"oh give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; for his love endures forever" ~Psalm 107:1

I REALLY needed this. I am having such a hard morning. But I know everything you said & Christ says is true.

I am very sorry your morning isn't turning out the way you would like, dear! Hard days come for everyone- but that is when we stick even closer to God! He is on the throne and ready to help all of those in need.
